I am constantly looking for creative new ways to incorporate herbs into our daily lives. Mostly because so many of my clients have 'sensitive tastebuds' or because of busy schedules.
So, I am going to try to share a few ideas here to help you make herbs a part of your daily life.
There are the obvious ways such as teas and tinctures. Many times, these are the preferred methods because you can get so much more from the herb at one time.
Then there are things such as vinegars, oils, honeys, oxymels and syrups. These are fun ways to get herbs 'snuck' into the diet or a creative way to administer herbs to children.
Herbal power balls is another great way to incorporate herbs. Children usually like these too, as they taste more like a cookie.
Lozenges or pastilles is a handy way for herbs on the go. They can be put in a small tin for purse or pocket and easily taken at any time.
Adding herbs to recipes is a fabulous method as well. American recipes usually lack in this area. Try increasing the amount of herbs in your recipes. Or even adding new ones. You might find a new favorite!
There are so many ways besides the obvious. For more creative ideas, check out The Biblical Herbal e-magazine. So many ideas, recipes and more! For only $6, you can try it out. Or for $20 you can subscribe to a whole years' worth of great information!
I am a contributing author as well as an editor. All of my work is volunteer. The only monies that I make on my writing, illustrating and editing is a portion of your purchase price. I am asking that you purchase an issue or a subscription through my affiliate link here.
